BSI has an opening for an experienced Lead – Product Research. (Remote, Hybrid, or In-Office)

The Lead – Product Research is responsible for the leadership and task assignment/review of assigned team members. It is also responsible for the analysis and prioritization of research requests and collaboration between diverse groups such as developers, support and taxing authority contacts.  Operates with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
  • Other Undergraduate degree with minimum 5 years payroll and/or payroll tax reporting experience and 3+ years technical experience in product research and/or software product development
  • Minimum 5 years of recent and relevant work experience (payroll tax/compliance research, federal, multi-state and multi-local payroll tax reporting and remittance)
  • Document Management experience required
  • Proficient in SQL/database queries, Internet applications, Microsoft Office, and Salesforce
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communications and organizational skills
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) a plus
  • Experience overseeing daily activities of Payroll Tax Administrators a plus
  • This position is subject to a background check

BSI has an opening for an experienced Product Research Specialist II. (Remote, Hybrid, or In-Office)

The Product Research Specialist II researches, identifies and interprets the payroll tax and associated tax reporting rules and regulations that are incorporated within the company’s products and services.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, preferred
  • Other Undergraduate degree with minimum 3+ years payroll and/or payroll tax reporting experience, 2 years technical experience in product research and/or software product development OR
  • No degree with 10+ years payroll and/or payroll tax reporting experience, 5+ years technical experience in product and/or software product development
  • 3+ years of recent and relevant work experience (Payroll/Tax/Research)
  • This position is subject to a background check
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) a plus
  • Proficient in SQL/database queries and the use of Internet applications and Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and quickly learn and effectively understand new concepts and functions
  • Strong results orientation, highly motivated and detail-oriented
